Here at the studio, conversation often migrates towards meals on big production days. What we had for dinner last night, what we brought for lunch, who has the best breakfast sandwich nearby. Flowers make a person hungry. Last summer I had the pleasure of working on a very fooderific wedding at Sodo Park for the food-loving couple Justin and Alissa. They wanted edible elements to play a prominent role in the their décor, so we nestled artichokes into their centerpieces, wove crabapple branches through the arch, and perked up the boutonnieres with unripened blackberries.

Fragrant and luscious and ripe, it was a wedding for the senses. Many thanks to the inimitable Amber French for capturing it all on film, and to Megan Keller of A Kurant Event for her fine fine design and planning skills.
